Railway NTPC Graduate Level Exam Date 2025: CBT 1 Starts From June 5

Railway NTPC Graduate Level Exam Date 2025 has been revised by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) through an official notice released on May 23, 2025. As per the revised notification, candidates who applied for 8113 graduate-level posts under advertisement number CEN 05/2024 will now appear for the Stage 1 CBT scheduled between 5th and 24th June 2025, with the exam being conducted in three shifts each day.

Railway NTPC Graduate Level Exam Date 2025

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has revised the RRB NTPC Graduate Level Exam Date 2025 for 8,113 posts under CEN 05/2024. The Stage 1 CBT will now be conducted from 5th to 24th June 2025 over a span of 16 days. As the exam is scheduled to begin on 5th June, the exam city slips are being released today, 26th May 2025. Admit cards will be issued from 1st June 2025 onwards. Candidates whose applications have been accepted or provisionally accepted must appear as per the updated schedule. 

RRB NTPC 2025 Exam

The RRB NTPC 2025 exam aims to fill 11,982 graduate and undergraduate level vacancies. Currently, the exam schedule has been released only for graduate-level posts; dates for undergraduate posts will be announced soon. The application status was released on 14th May, exam city slips will be available from 26th May, and admit cards from 1st June 2025. CBT 1 will be held from 5th to 24th June and will last 90 minutes. The selection process includes CBT 1, CBT 2, skill tests, document verification, and a medical exam.

RRB NTPC Graduate Level  Admit Card 2025 and Exam City Details

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will release the admit cards for the CBT 1 exam of RRB NTPC Graduate Level posts on its official website, rrb.gov.in, starting from 1st June 2025. Prior to this, the Exam City Intimation Slips will be available from today, 26th May 2025. The exam will be conducted from 5th to 24th June 2025, and candidates can download their admit cards about four days before their scheduled exam date. 




RRB NTPC Exam 2025 Reporting Time and Duration 

The exact reporting times for the RRB NTPC 2025 exam will be provided along with the release of the exam city intimation slips. Based on previous RRB exam patterns, the exam is expected to be conducted in three shifts daily.

  • Shift 1: Reporting time at 7:30 AM; Exam duration from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
  • Shift 2: Reporting time at 11:15 AM; Exam duration from 12:45 PM to 2:15 PM
  • Shift 3: Reporting time at 3:00 PM; Exam duration from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM 


Railway NTPC 2025 Selection Process (Graduate Level) 

The selection process for Graduate Level posts under RRB NTPC 2025 involves multiple stages to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment. It begins with the Preliminary Test (CBT-1), followed by the Main Exam (CBT-2). Certain posts also require candidates to clear a Typing Skill Test. All shortlisted candidates must then undergo Document Verification and a Medical Examination, which is an important step as railway jobs have specific fitness requirements. 

Step-by-Step Selection Process: 

  • CBT-1: A screening test with multiple-choice questions covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness. Candidates who qualify proceed to CBT-2. 
  • CBT-2: A more detailed exam with higher difficulty, covering the same subjects but with a greater emphasis on reasoning and general awareness. 
  • Typing Skill Test (For Clerk & Typist Posts Only): Candidates must type 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. 
  • Document Verification & Medical Examination: Candidates must verify their documents and pass a medical fitness test as per railway standards.

Candidates who clear all stages successfully will be considered for final selection.

The RRB NTPC Graduate Level Exam 2025 conducted in two stages: CBT-1 (Preliminary Exam) and CBT-2 (Mains Exam). The CBT-1 serves as a screening test, while CBT-2 determines the final merit list. Both exams assess candidates in Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness. 

CBT-1 Exam Pattern 

CBT-1 is the first stage of the NTPC selection process. It is an objective-type exam designed to shortlist candidates for CBT-2. The exam consists of 100 questions with a total duration of 90 minutes. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
